starting,warmsuptheenginefasterandallowstheheater-defroster
systemtorespondquickly.Useofanengineblockheaterisstrongly
recommendedifyouliveinaregionwheretemperaturesreach-23°C
(-10°F)
orbelow.
Forbestresults,plugtheheaterinatleastthreehoursbeforestarting
thevehicle.Usingtheheaterforlongerthanthreehourswillnotharm
theengine,sotheheatercanbepluggedinthenightbeforestartingthe
vehicle.
Topreventelectricalshock,donotuseyourheaterwith
ungroundedelectricalsystemsortwo-pronged(cheater)
adapters.
Guarding against exhaust fumes
Althoughodorlessandcolorless,carbonmonoxideispresentinexhaust
fumes.Takeprecautionstoavoiditsdangerouseffects.
Ifyoueversmellexhaustfumesofanykindinsideyourvehicle,
haveyourdealerinspectandfixyourvehicleimmediately.Do
notdriveifyousmellexhaustfumes.Thesefumesareharmfuland
couldkillyou.
