Alwaysremovethechild-restraint
systemfromtherearseatbefore
operatingtheremotehandleleversfor
therearseat:
Operatingtheremotehandlelevers
whilearear-facingchild-restraint
systemisintherearseatis
dangerous.Itcouldcauseinjurytoa
childseatedinthechild-restraint
systemwhentheseatbacksuddenly
flipsforward.
ØOnanupwardslope,theseatback
maynotfolddown.Whenthe
seatbackscannotbefoldeddown
withlevers,pulltherearseatback
forwardfrominsidethevehicle.

Unfastenthelapportionofthecenter-
rearseatbelt(page2-22).
CAUTION
Alwaysunfastenthelapportionof
thebeltbeforefoldingleft-rear
seatback.Leavingthelapportionof
thebeltfastenedcouldcause
damagetotheseatbelt,buckleand
seatback.
Makesurethereisnobodyintherear
seatareabeforeoperatingtheremote
handlelevers:
Notcheckingtherearseatareafor
personsbeforefoldingtheseatbacks
withtheremotehandleleversis
dangerous.Therearseatareais
difficulttoseefromtherearofthe
vehicle.Operatingtheremotehandle
leverswithoutcheckingcouldcause
injurytoapersonwhenaseatback
suddenlyflipsforward.

Aftercheckingthattherearseatsare
clear,opentheliftgatecompartment
andpulltheremotehandleleverson
theleftandrightsideoftheliftgate
compartment.
CAUTION
Beforefoldingtheseatbackswiththe
remotehandlelevers,makesure
thereisnocupinarearcupholder.
Foldingtheseatbackswiththe
remotehandleleverswhileacupisin
thecupholdercouldsoilordamage
theseatbottomandseatback.
