Anydifficultywiththesystemisindicatedbyoneormoreofthe

Thereadinesslight(samelightasusedforfrontairbagsystem)will
eitherflashorstaylit.
Thereadinesslightwillnotilluminateimmediatelyafterignitionis
turnedtotheonposition.
Aseriesoffivebeepswillbeheard.Thetonepatternwillrepeat
periodicallyuntiltheproblemandlightarerepaired.
Ifanyofthesethingshappen,evenintermittently,havetheSRSserviced
atanauthorizeddealerimmediately.Unlessserviced,thesystemmaynot
functionproperlyintheeventofacollision.
Disposal of airbags and  airbag equipped vehicles
(including pretensioners)
Contactyourauthorizeddealerassoonaspossible.AirbagsMUSTBE
disposedofbyqualifiedpersonnel.

restraintsforchildren.AlsoseeAirbagsupplementalrestraintsystem
(SRS)inthischapterforspecialinstructionsaboutusingairbags.

adevicethatisappropriatefortheirheight,ageandweight.
Childsafetyrestraintsmustbepurchasedseparatelyfromthevehicle.
Failuretofollowtheseinstructionsandguidelinesmayresultinan
increasedriskofseriousinjuryordeathtoyourchild.
WARNING:Allchildrenareshapeddifferently.The
RecommendationsforSafetyRestraintsarebasedonprobable
childheight,ageandweightthresholdsfromNHTSAandothersafety
organizationsoraretheminimumrequirementsoflaw.Ford
recommendscheckingwithaNHTSACertifiedChildPassengerSafety
Technician(CPST)andyourpediatriciantomakesureyourchildseat
isappropriateforyourchild,andiscompatiblewithandproperly
