Key fob
Smart key system (if installed)
By carrying a smart key, the vehicle can be locked,
unlocked and the Hybrid System engaged without
handling the key.
Master key Ignition key and wireless remote.
Mechanical key Can be removed to manually
lock/unlock the driver’s door only.

Using a mechanical key

To use the mechanical key Slide the lock knob and
pull out.
To lock the doors Push the lock button on the
outside door handle (with all doors closed, and the
Hybrid System turned off).
To unlock the doors With the key within 3 feet of
the door, take hold of the door handle.

NOTE: After unlocking, if a door is not opened
within thirty (30) seconds, all doors will relock for
safety. Refer to your Owner’s Manual, and page 14 of
this guide for smart key unlocking programmable
options.

To unlock driver door Push “ ” once.
To unlock all the doors Push “ ” twice.
NOTE: After unlocking, if a door is not opened within

Alarm operation
To disable smart key system Push the cancel switch
located below the steering wheel.
NOTE: To conserve battery power, turn the smart key
system “OFF” when not using the vehicle for prolonged
periods of time. For more battery saving information,
refer to the Owner’s Manual for more details.
