BlueEFFICIENCY diesel engine
The optimised S-Class diesel engine is powerful, refined and more fuel-efficient than ever.
V6 diesel engine. Thanks to advanced common‑
rail technology, the S350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY
produces an impressive 235hp (173kW) and
delivers 540Nm of torque from just 1,600rpm.
What’s more, its lightweight V6 diesel engine
is as efficient as it is powerful, thanks to an
increase in injection pressure to 2,000bar,
ultra‑precise piezo injectors and optimised
combustion chambers.
It also comes with a range of other fuel-saving
measures, including low-resistance tyres,
electro-hydraulic power steering with an
on-demand pump, and aerodynamic enhance-
ments such as more streamlined exterior
mirrors. The result is a significant improvement
in efficiency and emissions levels, with a
combined fuel consumption of 37.2mpg and
CO2 emissions of just 199g/km.¹ In addition,
the exhaust is fitted with a particulate
filter that significantly reduces emissions of
soot particles.
