Position  the  lap  belt  across  you r  thighs,  below   you r

abd omen. To rem ove slack  in the lap  belt portion,  pull  up
on the shou lder  belt. To loosen the  lap belt if it is too tight,
tilt  the latch  plate   and  pull  on the  lap  belt.  A snu g belt
red uces the  risk  of sliding  und er  the belt  in a  collision.

high on your body, possibly causing internal inju-
ries.Alwaysbuckleyourbeltintothebucklenearest

Ashoulder belt placed behind will not protect you
frominjuryduringacollision.Youaremorelikelyto
hityourheadinacollisionifyoudonotwearyour
shoulderbelt.Thelapandshoulderbeltaremeantto
beusedtogether.
