Tomanuallyoperatetherunningboards,refertoMessagecenterinthe
InstrumentClusterchapter.

Thisfeaturecanmanuallysettherunningboardsinthedeployed
(OUT)positionforaccesstotheroof.
Whenrunningboardsaremanuallysetinthedeployedposition,the
boardswillreturntothestowedpositionandenterautomaticmode
whenthevehiclespeedexceeds5mph(8km/h).
Enable/disable:
Toenable/disablethepowerrunningboardfeature,refertoMessage
centerintheInstrumentClusterchapter.

Whenthisfeatureisdisabled(OFF),therunningboardswillmoveto
thestowedpositionregardlessofthepositionofthedoors.
Whenthisfeatureisenabled(AUTO),therunningboardswillmove
backtothecorrectpositionsbasedoffofthedoorpositions.
Bounce-back:
•
Ifanobjectisinthewayofthemovingrunningboard,therunning
boardwillautomaticallybouncebackinthereversedirectionand
movetotheendoftravel.
Note:Therunningboardsmayoperateslowerincoolertemperatures.In
adverseconditions,debrissuchasmud,dirt,andsaltmaybecome
trappedintherunningboardmechanism,possiblyleadingtounwanted
noise.Ifthisoccurs,manuallysettherunningboardstothedeployed
positionandflushthesystem(inparticularthefrontandrearhinge
arms)withahigh-pressurecarwashwand.
Note:Donotusetherunningboards,frontandrearhingeassemblies,
runningboardmotors,ortherunningboardunderbodymountstolift
thevehiclewhenjacking.Pleaseutilizeproperjackingpoints.Referto
ChangingthetiresintheRoadsideEmergencieschapter.
WARNING:Inextremeclimates,excessiveicebuildupmay
occur,causingtherunningboardsnottodeploy.Besurethatthe
runningboardshavedeployed,andhavefinishedmovingbefore
attemptingtosteponthem.Note:Therunningboardswillresume
normalfunctiononcetheblockageiscleared.
