Thisvehicleisequippedwithanadaptivetransmissionshiftstrategy.
Adaptivetransmissionshiftstrategyofferstheoptimaltransmission
operationandshiftquality.Theadaptiveinformationwillbestored
automaticallyinthepowertraincontrolmodule(PCM)andtransmission
controlmodule(TCM).Whenthevehicle’sbatteryhasbeendisconnected
foranytypeofserviceorrepair,thetransmissionwillneedtorelearnthe
normalshiftstrategyparameters,muchlikehavingtoresetyourradio
stationswhenyourvehiclebatteryhasbeendisconnected.Theadaptive
transmissionshiftstrategyallowsthetransmissiontorelearnthese
operatingparameters.Thislearningprocesscouldtakeseveral
transmissionupshiftsanddownshifts;duringthislearningprocess,
slightlyfirmershiftsmayoccur.Afterthislearningprocess,normalshift
feelandshiftschedulingwillresume.
