Donotattempttopushortowyourvehicletogetit
started. Unburned fuel could enter the  catalytic
converterand,oncetheenginehasstarted,igniteand
damagetheconverterandvehicle.
Do not use a booster battery or any other booster
sourcethathasagreaterthan12–voltsystem,i.e.,do
notusea24–voltpowersource.
Neverattempttojumpstartadischargedbatterythat
isfrozen,becauseitcouldruptureorexplodeduring
jumpstarting.
EMERGENCYTOWHOOKS—IFEQUIPPED
Ifyourvehicleisequippedwithtowhooks,therewillbe
one in the rear and two mounted on the front of the
vehicle.Therearhookwillbelocatedonthedriver’sside
ofthevehicle.

Be sure your vehicle is not touching the jump start
vehicle.
Observe all Battery Warnings in Section 7 of this
manual,whilejumpstartingyourvehicle.
NOTE: Foroff-roadrecovery,itisrecommendedtouse
both of the front tow hooks to minimize the risk of
damagetothevehicle.
