Placingluggageorotherobjectsunderthefrontseatsisdangerous.Thesideand
curtainairbagwiringcouldbedamaged,andintheeventofasidecollision,theside
andcurtainairbagsmaynotdeploy,whichcouldresultindeathorseriousinjury.To
preventdamagetothesideandcurtainairbagwiring,donotplaceluggageorother
objectsunderthefrontseats.
Donottouchtheinternalcomponentsoftheairbagmodulesafterthebagshave
inflated:
Hotairbaginflatorsaredangerous.Immediatelyafterinflation,theinflatorsinthe
steeringwheel,dashboard,seatbacks,orthefrontandrearwindowpillarsandalong
theroofedgeareveryhot.Youcouldgetburned.
Neverinstallanyfront-endequipmenttoyourvehicle:
Installationoffront-endequipment,suchasfrontalprotectionbar(kangaroobar,bull
bar,pushbar,orothersimilardevices),snowplow,orwinches,isdangerous.Theair
bagcrashsensorsystemcouldbeaffected.Thiscouldcauseairbagstoinflate
unexpectedly,oritcouldpreventtheairbagsfrominflatingduringanaccident.Front
occupantscouldbeseriouslyinjured.
Donotmodifythesuspension:
Modifyingthevehiclesuspensionisdangerous.Ifthevehicle'sheightorthe
suspensionismodified,thevehiclewillbeunabletoaccuratelydetectacollisionor
roll-overaccidentresultinginincorrectorunexpectedairbagdeploymentandthe
possibilityofseriousinjuries.
DonotusetiresorwheelsotherthanthosespecifiedforyourMazda:
UseofanytireorwheelotherthanthosespecifiedforyourMazda(page10-6)is
dangerous.Useofsuchwheelswillpreventthevehicle'saccidentdetectionssystem
fromaccuratelydetectingacollisionorroll-overaccidentresultinginincorrector
unexpectedairbagdeploymentandthepossibilityofseriousinjuries.
Donotoverloadyourvehicle:
Overloadingyourvehicleisdangerousasiscouldpreventtheairbagcrashsensor
systemfromaccuratelydetectingacollisionorroll-overaccidentresultinginincorrect
orunexpectedairbagdeploymentandthepossibilityofseriousinjuries.Thegross
axleweightrating(GAWR)andthegrossvehicleweightrating(GVWR)foryour
vehicleareontheMotorVehicleSafetyStandardLabelonthedriver'sdoorframe.Do
notexceedtheseratings.
