Toallowthesensorstofunctionproperly,alwaysperformthefollowing:

Adjustthefrontseatsasfarbackaspossibleandalwayssituprightagainstthe

seatbackswithseatbeltswornproperly.
Ifyouplaceyourchildonthefrontpassengerseat,securethechild-restraintsystem
l
properlyandslidethefrontpassengerseatasfarbackaspossible(page2-38).
NOTE
Thesystemrequiresabout10secondstoalternatebetweenturningthefrontpassenger
l
frontandsideairbagsandseatbeltpretensionersystemonoroff.
Thefrontpassengerairbagdeactivationindicatorlightmayilluminaterepeatedlyif
luggageorotheritemsareputonthefrontpassengerseat,orifthetemperatureofthe
vehicle'sinteriorchangessuddenly.

Thefrontpassengerairbagdeactivationindicatorlightmayilluminatefor10seconds
ifthetotalseatedweightonthefrontpassengerseatchanges.

Ifthefrontpassengerairbagdeactivationindicatorlightdoesnotilluminateafter
installingachild-restraintsystemonthefrontpassengerseat,installthechild-restraint
systemontherearseatandconsultanAuthorizedMazdaDealerassoonaspossible.

Thebuckleswitchesonthefrontseatbeltsdetectwhetherornotthefrontseatbeltsare
securelyfastenedandfurthercontrolthedeploymentoftheairbags.
