auger housingandthrowsit out thedischargechute.
Rubber paddlesontheaugersalsoaidinpropellingthe
unit astheycomeincontact withthepavement.
Primer
Auger Control Handle
Depressingprimer forcesfuel directlyintoengine’s
carburetor toaidincold-weather starting. Refer toengine
manual packedwithunit for moredetailedinstructions.
Locatedontheupper handle, theauger control handle
isusedtoengageanddisengagedrivetotheauger.
Squeezethecontrol handleagainst theupper handleto
engageauger; releaseit todisengage.
Ignition Key
Theignitionkeymust beinsertedandsnappedinplace
inorder for theenginetostart. Removetheignitionkeyto
prevent unauthorizeduseof equipment. DoNOTattempt
toturnthekey.
Discharge Chute / Chute Handle
Rotatethedischargechutetotheleft or right using
chutehandle. Theangleof thedischargechutecontrols
thedistancethat thesnowisthrown. Tilt thedischarge
chuteupfor greater distance; tilt downfor lessdistance.
Loosenthehandknobonthesideof thedischarge
chutetoadjust. Tilt thechutetothedesiredposition,
andtightentheknob.
Recoil Starter
Thestarter handleisusedtomanuallystart theengine.
Electric Starter (If Equipped)
Usedtostart enginewitha120Vpower source.
Shave Plate
Plug for Electric Start
Theshaveplatemaintainscontact withpavement as
thesnowthrower ispropelled, allowingsnowcloseto
pavement’ssurfacetobedischarged.
Requiresuseof athree-prongoutdoor extensioncord
anda120Vpower source.
Spark Plug Cover
