Calculating the load your vehicle can carry/tow

UsetheappropriatemaximumGCWRchart(intheTrailertowing
sectioninthischapter)foryourtypeofengineandrearaxleratio.

Weighyourvehiclewithoutcargo.Toobtaincorrectweights,take
yourvehicletoashippingcompanyoraninspectionstationfor
trucks.
3.
SubtractyourloadedweightfromthemaximumGCWRinthechart.
Thisisthemaximumtrailerweightyourvehiclecantow.Itmustbe
belowthemaximumtrailerweightshowninthechart.
TRAILER TOWING
Trailertowingwithyourvehiclemayrequiretheuseofatrailertow
optionpackage.
Trailertowingputsadditionalloadsonyourvehicle’sengine,transaxle,
axle,brakes,tires,andsuspension.Foryoursafetyandtomaximize
vehicleperformance,besuretousetheproperequipmentwhiletowing.
