themanufacturer’ sinstructions.

Thesystemdeterminesthatasmallchildispresentinaboosterseat.
Afrontpassengertakeshis/herweightoffoftheseatforaperiodof
time,

Asmallerperson,suchasachildwhohasoutgrownchildrestraintsor
asmalladult,occupiesthefrontpassengerseat.
WARNING: Evenwiththefrontpassengersensingsystem,
children12andundershouldbeproperlyrestrainedintheback
seat.
Whenthefrontpassengerseatis
occupiedandthesensingsystem
hasturnedoffthepassenger’s
frontalairbag,theЉpassengerairbag
offЉorЉpassairbagoffЉindicatorwill
lightandstaylittoremindyouthat
thefrontpassengerfrontalairbagis
off.Theindicatorlightwillbeunlit
when:

thefrontpassengerseatisnotoccupied(emptyseat),
orintheeventthatthefrontpassengerfrontalairbaghasbeen
enabled(mayinflate).
Theindicatorlightislocatedinthecenterstackoftheinstrumentpanel
justbelowtheradio.
Thefrontpassengersensingsystemisdesignedtoturnoffthefront
passenger’sfrontalairbagwhenarearfacinginfantseat,a
forward-facingchildrestraint,oraboosterseatisdetected.Ifthechild
restrainthasbeeninstalledandtheindicatorisnotlit-allthemore
importanttoputthechildintherearseat-ifyouinsistonputtingthe
