Usethefollowingproceduretoprepareyourvehiclefor
recreationaltowing.
indicatingshiftinprogress.Lampwillstopblinking(stay
onsolid)whenNeutralshiftiscomplete.A“4WDSYSTEM
IN NEUTRAL” message will display on the EVIC (Elec-
tronic Vehicle Information Center). Refer to “Electronic
Vehicle Information Center (EVIC)” in Section 4 of this
manual.(Seepage183formoreinformation.)
CAUTION!
Itisnecessarytofollowthesestepstobecertainthat
the transfer case is fully in N  (Neutral) before
recreational towing to prevent damage to internal
parts.
