NOTE:
Thisvehicleisequippedwithatransmission
shift interlocking system. The brake pedal must be
depressedtoshiftoutofPark(P).
NormalStarting
Normal starting of either a cold or a warm engine is
obtainedwithoutpumpingordepressingtheaccelerator
pedal. Turn the key to the START position and release
whentheenginestarts.Iftheenginefailstostartwithin
10
seconds, turn the key to the OFF position, wait 5
seconds,thenrepeatthenormalstartingprocedure.

ExtremeColdWeather(below–20°F(–29°C)
Toinsurereliablestartingatthesetemperatures,useofan
externallypoweredelectricengineblockheater(available
fromyourauthorizeddealer)isrecommended.
