THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE

To Set the Alarm
Thealarmwillsetwhenyouusetheremotekeylessentry
(RKE) transmitter to lock the doors and swing gate, or
whenyouusethepowerdoorlockswitchwhilethedoor
is open. After all the doors are locked and closed, the
SentryKey/SecurityAlarmIndicatorLight(locatedon
the instrument cluster) will flash rapidly for about 16
secondstosignalthatthesystemisarming.Duringthis
SECURITY ALARM SYSTEM — IF EQUIPPED
Thissystemmonitorsthevehicledoors,swinggate,and
ignition for unauthorized operation. When the alarm is
activated, the system provides both audible and visible
signals.Thehorn,headlights,andtaillightswillsound/
flashrepeatedlyforthreeminutes.Ifdisturbanceisstill
present(driver’sdoor,passengerdoor,otherdoors,igni-
tion) after three minutes, the headlights and tail lights
willflashforanadditional15minutes.

armingperiod,openinganydoorortheswing
gate will cancel the arming. If the system successfully
arms, the Sentry Key/Security Alarm Indicator Light
willflashataslowerratetoindicatethealarmisset.
To Disarm the System
NOTE: ThePanicandSecurityalarmsarequitediffer-
ent.PleasetakeamomenttoactivatethePanicandthe
Securitymodestohearthedifferencesinthehorn.Incase
one should go off in the future, you will need to know
whichmodehasbeenactivatedinordertodeactivateit.
To disarm the system, you will need to press the UN-
LOCKbuttonontheRKEtransmitter,orturntheignition
key to the ON position. If something has triggered the
systeminyourabsence,thehornwillsoundthreetimes
when you unlock the doors. Check the vehicle for tam-
pering.
