WRECKER TOWING
Ifyouneedtohaveyourvehicletowed,contactaprofessionaltowing
serviceor,ifyouareamemberofaroadsideassistanceprogram,your
roadsideassistanceserviceprovider.
Itisrecommendedthatyourvehiclebetowedwithawheelliftand
dolliesorflatbedequipment.Donottowwithaslingbelt.FordMotor
Companyhasnotapprovedaslingbelttowingprocedure.
OnFWDvehicles,ifyourvehicleistobetowedfromthefront,ensure
properwheelliftequipmentisusedtoraisethefrontwheelsoffthe
ground.Therearwheelscanbeleftonthegroundwhentowedinthis
fashion.
Ifyourvehicleistobetowedfromtherearusingwheelliftequipment,it
isrequiredthatthefrontwheels(drivewheels)beplacedonadollyto
preventdamagetothetransmission.
On4WDvehicles,itisrequiredthatyourvehiclebetowedwithawheel
liftanddolliesorflatbedequipmentwithallthewheelsoffthegroundto
preventdamagetotheautomatictransmission,4WDsystemorvehicle.
