Brakesystemwarninglight:To
confirmthebrakesystemwarning
lightisfunctional,itwill
momentarilyilluminatewhenthe
ignitionisturnedtotheONposition

BRAKE
whentheengineisnotrunning,orinapositionbetweenONandSTART,
orbyapplyingtheparkingbrakewhentheignitionisturnedtotheON
position.Ifthebrakesystemwarninglightdoesnotilluminateatthis
time,seekserviceimmediatelyfromanauthorizedMazdadealer.
Illuminationafterreleasingtheparkingbrakeindicateslowbrakefluid
levelandthebrakesystemshouldbeinspectedimmediatelybyan
authorizedMazdadealer.
WARNING: Drivingavehiclewiththebrakesystemwarning
lightonisdangerous.Asignificantdecreaseinbraking
performancemayoccur.Itwilltakeyoulongertostopthe
vehicle.Havethevehiclecheckedimmediatelybyanauthorized
Mazdadealer.
Anti-lockbrakesystem(ABS)
(ifequipped):IftheABSlight
ABS
staysilluminatedorcontinuesto
flash,amalfunctionhasbeen
detected,havethesystemserviced
immediatelybyanauthorizedMazdadealer.Normalbrakingisstill
functionalunlessthebrakesystemwarninglightalsoisilluminated.
WARNING: Ifthelightremainson,continuestoflashorfails
toilluminate,havethesystemservicedimmediatelybyan
authorizedMazdadealer.WiththeABSlighton,theanti-lock
brakesystemisdisabledbutnormalbrakingisstilleffective
unlessthebrakewarninglightalsoremainsilluminatedwith
theparkingbrakereleased.
