Turntheignitionfromthe1(LOCK)positiontothe3(ON)position.
Keeptheignitioninthe3(ON)positionforatleastonesecondbut
notmorethan10seconds.

Removethenewlyprogrammedcodedkeyfromtheignition.
Ifthekeyhasbeensuccessfullyprogrammeditwillstartthevehicle’s
engineandthetheftindicatorlightwillilluminateforthreesecondsand
thengoout.
Ifthekeywasnotsuccessfullyprogrammed,itwillnotstartyour
vehicle’sengineandthetheftindicatorlightwillflashonandoff,orstay
onformorethanthreeseconds.Iffailurerepeats,bringyourvehicleto
yourauthorizedMazdadealertohavethenewkey(s)programmed.
Toprogramadditionalnewunprogrammedkey(s),repeatthisprocedure
fromstep1foreachadditionalkey.
PERIMETER ALARM SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
Theperimeteranti-theftsystemwillwarnyouintheeventofan
unauthorizedentrytoyourvehicle.
Ifthereisanypotentialperimeteranti-theftproblemwithyourvehicle,
ensureALLremoteentrytransmittersaretakentothedealershipto
aidintroubleshooting.
Arming the system
Whenarmed,thissystemwillrespondifunauthorizedentryis
attempted.Whenunauthorizedentryoccurs,thesystemwillflashthe
headlamps,parkinglampsandwillsoundthehorn.
Thesystemisreadytoarmwheneverkeyisremovedfromtheignition.
Eitherofthefollowingactionswillprearmthealarmsystem:

Pressthe   controlontheremoteentrytransmitter.
Lockthedoorsusingthekey.
NOTE:Ifadoorisopen,thesystemisnotarmed.

Thesystemwillbecomeprearmed,whenalldoorsareclosed.When
thesystembecomesprearmedtheflasherswillflashtoconfirmthe
prearming.
•
Oncethesystemisprearmed,thesystemwillarmin20seconds.If
anydoorisopenedduringthese20seconds,thearmingwillbe
canceled.
