Youcanprogramyourowncodedkeystoyourvehicle.Pleasereadand
understandtheentireprocedurebeforeyoubegin.

Youmusthavetwopreviouslyprogrammedcodedkeys(keysthat
alreadyoperateyourvehicle’sengine)andthenewunprogrammed
key(s)readilyaccessible.

Ifyoudonothaveatleast2previouslyprogrammedkeys,youmust
takeyourvehicletoyourauthorizedMazdadealertohavethespare
key(s)programmed.

Insertapreviouslyprogrammed
codedkeyintotheignition.

Turntheignitionfromthe1(LOCK)positiontothe3(ON)position.
Keeptheignitioninthe3(ON)positionforatleastonesecond,but
nomorethan10seconds.

Turntheignitiontothe1(LOCK)positionandremovethecoded
keyfromtheignition.
Withintenseconds,insertthesecondpreviouslycodedkeyintothe
ignition.
Turntheignitionfromthe1(LOCK)positiontothe3(ON)position.
Keeptheignitioninthe3(ON)positionforatleastonesecond,but
nomorethan10seconds.

Turntheignitiontothe1(LOCK)positionandremovethesecond
previouslyprogrammedcodedkeyfromtheignition.
Withintwentysecondsofremovingthepreviouslyprogrammed
codedkey,insertthenewunprogrammedkeyintotheignition.
