Carefullyturnthefillercapcounterclockwise1/8ofaturnuntilit

Pulltoremovethecapfromthefuelfillerpipe.
Toinstallthecap,alignthetabsonthecapwiththenotchesonthe
fillerpipe.

Turnthefillercapclockwise1/8ofaturnuntilitstops.
Afterrefueling,ifthe“CHECKFUELCAP”indicatorcomesonandstays
onwhenyoustarttheengine,thefuelfillercapmaynotbeproperly
installed.Turnofftheengine,removethefuelfillercap,alignthecap
properlyandreinstallitsecurely.Theindicatorshouldturnoffafter
threedrivingcycleswiththefuelfillercapproperlyinstalled.Adriving
cycleconsistsofacoldenginestart-upfollowedbymixedcity/highway
driving.
Ifyoumustreplacethefuelfillercap,replaceitwithafuelfiller
capthatisdesignedforyourvehicle.Thecustomerwarrantymay
bevoidforanydamagetothefueltankorfuelsystemifthe
correctgenuineMazdafuelfillercapisnotused.
WARNING: Thefuelsystemmaybeunderpressure.Ifthefuel
fillercapisventingvapororifyouhearahissingsound,wait
untilitstopsbeforecompletelyremovingthefuelfillercap.
Otherwise,fuelmaysprayoutandinjureyouorothers.
WARNING: Ifyoudonotusetheproperfuelfillercap,
excessivepressureorvacuuminthefueltankmaydamagethe
fuelsystemorcausethefuelcaptodisengageinacollision,
whichmayresultinpossiblepersonalinjury.
Fuel Filter
Forfuelfilterreplacement,seeyourauthorizedMazdadealership.Refer
totheservicemaintenancesectionfortheappropriateintervalsfor
changingthefuelfilter.
ReplacethefuelfilterwithanauthorizedMazdapart.The
customerwarrantymaybevoidforanydamagetothefuelsystem
ifanauthorizedMazdafuelfilterisnotused.
