Intermittent Wiper System
CAUTIO N!
Use the interm ittent wiper system when weather cond i-
tions make a single wiping cycle with a variable pause
betw een cycles desirable. Rotate the end of the Wind -
shield Wiper / Washer Control Lever to the first detent,
and then turn the end of the lever to select the desired
delay interval. There are five delay settings, which allow
you to regu late the wipe interval from a minim um of two
cycles every second to a maxim um of approxim ately 36
second s betw een cycles or from a minim um of one cycle
every second to a maxim um of approxim ately 18 second s
betw een cycles at vehicle speed s greater than 10 mph (16
km/ h).

Turn the windshield wipers off when drivin g
throu gh an autom atic car wash . Damage to the
windshield wipers may resu lt if the wiper control
is left in any position oth er than OFF.

In cold weath er, alw ays turn off the wiper switch
and allow the wipers to retu rn to the park position
before turning off the engin e. If the wiper switch
is left on and the wipers freeze to the windshield ,
damage to the wiper motor may occur when the
veh icle is restarted .

Alw ays rem ove any build up of snow that preven ts
the windshield wiper blad es from retu rning to the
OFF position . If the windshield wiper control is
turned OFF and the blad es cannot retu rn to the
OFF position , damage to the wiper motor may
occur.
