Thecontenttheftdeterrent systemdoesnot
senseifthemidgateortailgate areopenorajar,
therefore, vehiclecontents maynotbeprotected if
themidgateisleftopenorajar.

AlwaysunlockthedoorswiththeRKEtransmitter.
Unlocking adooranyotherwaywillsetoffthe
alarmifitisarmed.
IfalockeddriverdoorisopenedwithoutusingtheRKE
transmitter,atensecondpre-alarm willoccur.Thehorn
willchirpandthelightswillflash.Ifthekeyisnotplaced
intheignition andturnedtoSTARTorthedoorisnot
unlockedbypressing theunlockbuttonontheRKE
transmitter duringthetensecondpre-alarm, thealarm
willgooff.Yourvehicle's headlamps willflashandthe
hornwillsoundforabout30seconds, thenwillturnoff
tosavethebatterypower.
Ifyousetoffthealarmbyaccident, pressunlockonthe
RKEtransmitter orplacethekeyintheignition andturn
ittoSTARTtoturnoffthealarm.Thealarmwillnotstop
ifyoutrytounlockadooranyotherway.
TestingtheAlarm
Totestthealarm:
1. Frominsidethevehicle, lowerthedriver's window
andopenthedriver's door.
Thetheft-deterrent systemwillnotactivate ifthedoors
arelockedwiththevehicle's keyorthemanualdoor
lock.Itactivates onlyifyouusethepowerdoorlock
switchwiththedooropenortheRKEtransmitter.You
shouldalsorememberthatyoucanstartyourvehicle
withthecorrectignition keyifthealarmhasbeen
setoff.
2. Activate thesystembylockingthedoorswiththe
powerdoorlockswitchwhilethedoorisopen,
orwiththeRKEtransmitter.
3.
Getoutofthevehicle, closethedoorandwaitfor
thesecurity lighttogoout.
4.
Thenreachinthroughthewindow,unlockthedoor
withthemanualdoorlockandopenthedoor.This
shouldsetoffthealarm.
Whilethealarmisset,thepowerdoorunlockswitchwill
notwork.
