IfyoustillareunabletoshiftoutofP(Park):
Easethepressure  ontheshiftlever.

Thisvehicleisequipped  withanelectronic  shiftlock
releasesystem.Theshiftlockreleaseisdesignedto:
2. Whileholdingdownthebrakepedal,presstheshift
leverallthewayintoP(Park).

Preventignition keyremovalunlesstheshiftlever
isinP(Park)withtheshiftleverbuttonfully
released, and
3. Movetheshiftlevertothedesiredposition.
Ifyouarestillhavingaproblemshifting,    thenhavethe
vehicleserviced soon.

PreventmovementoftheshiftleveroutofP(Park),
unlesstheignition  isinON/RUNorACC/
ACCESSORYandtheregularbrakepedalis
applied.
ParkingOverThingsThatBurn
Theshiftlockreleaseisalwaysfunctional    exceptinthe
caseofanuncharged  orlowvoltage(lessthan9volt)
battery.

Ifthevehiclehasanuncharged   batteryorabatterywith
lowvoltage,trycharging  orjumpstarting  thebattery.

Thingsthatcanburncouldtouchhotexhaust
partsunderthevehicleandignite.   Donotpark
overpapers,leaves,drygrass,orotherthingsthat
canburn.
ToshiftoutofP(Park)usethefollowing:
