Thetraction control
disablebuttonislocated
ontheinstrument panel
belowtheclimate
controls.
STABILITRAK.IftheseDICmessages appear,make
suretheStabiliTrak systemhasnotbeenturnedoff
usingtheStabiliTrakon/offbutton.Thenturnthe
steering wheelclockwise fromthenineo'clockposition
tothethreeo'clockposition. Ifthisclearsthe
message(s), thevehicledoesnotneedservicing. Ifthis
doesnotclearthemessage(s), thenturnthevehicleoff,
wait15seconds, andthenturnitbackonagaintoreset
thesystem.Ifanyofthesemessages stillappearonthe
DriverInformation Center(DIC),thevehicleshouldbe
takeninforservice. Formoreinformation ontheDIC

Thetraction controlpartofStabiliTrakcanbeturned
offbypressing andreleasing theStabiliTrakbuttonif
bothsystems(traction controlandStabiliTrak) were
previously on.Todisablebothtraction controland
StabiliTrak, pressandholdthebuttonforfiveseconds.
TractioncontrolandStabiliTrak canbeturnedonby
pressing andreleasing theStabiliTrak buttonifnot
automatically shutoffforanyotherreason.
WhentheTCSorStabiliTrak systemisturnedoff,the
StabiliTraklightandtheappropriate TCSoffor
StabiliTrakoffmessagewillbedisplayed ontheDICto
warnthedriver.Thevehiclewillstillhavebrake-traction
controlwhentraction controlisoff,butwillnotbeable
tousetheenginespeedmanagement system.See
TheStabiliTrak lightwill
flashontheinstrument
panelclusterwhenthe
systemisbothonand
activated.
