Coldinflationpressure:Thetirepressurewhenthevehiclehas
beenstationaryandoutofdirectsunlightforanhourormoreand
priortothevehiclebeingdrivenfor1mile(1.6km).
Recommendedinflationpressure:Thecoldinflationpressurefound
ontheSafetyComplianceCertificationLabelorTireLabellocatedon
theB-Pillarortheedgeofthedriver’sdoor.
B-pillar:Thestructuralmemberatthesideofthevehiclebehindthe
frontdoor.
Beadareaofthetire:Areaofthetirenexttotherim.
Sidewallofthetire:Areabetweenthebeadareaandthetread.
Treadareaofthetire:Areaoftheperimeterofthetirethat
contactstheroadwhenmountedonthevehicle.
Rim:Themetalsupport(wheel)foratireoratireandtubeassembly
uponwhichthetirebeadsareseated.
INFLATING YOUR TIRES
Safeoperationofyourvehiclerequiresthatyourtiresareproperly
inflated.Rememberthatatirecanloseuptohalfofitsairpressure

theothers,useatiregaugetocheck
