Toprolongthelifeofthewiperblades,itishighlyrecommendedto
scrapeofftheiceonthewindshieldbeforeturningonthewipers.The
layeroficehasmanysharpedgesandcandamagethemicroedgeofthe
wiperrubberelement.
ENGINE OIL
Checking the engine oil
Refertothescheduledmaintenanceinformationfortheappropriate
intervalsforcheckingtheengineoil.

Makesurethevehicleisonlevelground.

Turntheengineoffandwaitafewminutesfortheoiltodrainintothe
oilpan.
3.
Settheparkingbrakeandensurethegearshiftissecurelylatchedin
P(automatictransaxle)or1st(manualtransaxle).

Openthehood.Protectyourselffromengineheat.
Locateandcarefullyremovetheengineoillevelindicator(dipstick).
Wipetheindicatorclean.Inserttheindicatorfully,thenremoveit
again.

levelisacceptable.DONOT
ADDOIL.

raisethelevelwithintheMINand
MAXrange.RefertoAdding
engineoilinthischapter.
OillevelsaboveMAXmark
maycauseenginedamage.If
theengineisoverfilled,someoil
mustberemovedfromtheengine
byanauthorizeddealer.
Puttheindicatorbackinandensureitisfullyseated.
