SECURILOCKி PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM
TheSecuriLock௢passiveanti-theftsystemprovidesanadvancedlevelof
vehicletheftprotection.Yourvehicle’senginecanonlybestartedwith
thetwospecialSecuriLock௢electronicallycodedkeysprovidedwith
yourvehicle.Eachtimeyoustartyourvehicle,theSecuriLock௢keyis
readbytheSecuriLock௢passiveanti-theftsystem.IftheSecuriLock௢
keyidentificationcodematchesthecodestoredintheSecuriLock௢
anti-theftsystem,thevehicle’sengineisallowedtostart.Ifthe
SecuriLock௢keyidentificationcodedoesnotmatchthecodestoredin
thesystemorifaSecuriLock௢keyisnotdetected(vehicletheft
situation),thevehicle’senginewillnotoperate.
TheSecuriLock௢passiveanti-theftsystemisnotcompatiblewith
aftermarketremotestartsystems.Useofthesesystemsmayresultin
vehiclestartingproblemsandalossofsecurityprotection.Largemetallic
objectsordevicessuchastheMobilSpeedpass௢onthesamekeyring
asyourSecuriLock௢keymaycausevehiclestartingproblems.These
objectsanddevicescannotdamagetheSecuriLock௢key,butcancause
amomentaryproblemiftheyaretooclosetothekeywhenstartingthe
engine.Ifaproblemoccurs.turnignitionoffandrestarttheenginewith
allotherobjectsonthekeyringheldawayfromtheSecuriLock௢
ignitionkey.
SpareSecuriLock௢keyscanbepurchasedfromyourdealershipand
programmedtoyourSecuriLock௢passiveanti-theftsystem.Referto
Pr ogrammin  g spa re  Secu riLock௢  keys formoreinformation.
IfoneorbothofyourSecuriLock௢keysarelostorstolenandyouwant
toensurethelostorstolenkeywillnotoperateyourvehicle,bringyour
vehicleandallavailableSecuriLock௢keystoyourdealershipfor
reinitialization.
Theft indicator
Thetheftindicatorontheinstrumentclusterwilloperateasfollows:

WhentheignitionisOFF,thetheftindicatorwillflashbrieflyevery2
secondstoindicatetheSecuriLock௢systemisprotectingyour
vehicle.
•
WhentheignitionisturnedtoRUNorSTART,thetheftindicatorwill
lightfor3secondsandthengoout.Ifthetheftindicatorstaysonfor
anextendedperiodoftimeorflashesrapidly,havethesystem
servicedbyyourdealershiporaqualifiedtechnician.
