Roadside emergencies
Removing the spare tire
1.
Insertthejackhandleintothe
rearbumperopening.
Thehandlewillstopmovingand
forwardresistancetoturningwillbe
feltwhenproperlyengaged.
2.
Turnthehandlecounterclockwise
untiltireisloweredtotheground,
thetirecanbeslidrearwardandthe
cableisslightlyslack.
3.
Removetheretainerfromthesparetire.
Stowing the spare

Laythetireonthegroundwiththevalvestemfacingup.
Slidethewheelunderthevehicle
andinstalltheretainerthroughthe
wheelcenter.
3.
Turnthejackhandleclockwise
untilthetireisraisedtoitsoriginal
positionunderneaththevehicle.The
jackhandleratchetswhenthetireis
raisedtothestowedposition.Itwill
notallowyoutoovertighten.
Tire change procedure
Topreventthevehiclefrommovingwhenyouchangeatire,be
suretheparkingbrakeisset,thenblock(inbothdirections)the
wheelthatisdiagonallyopposite(othersideandendofthevehicle)to
thetirebeingchanged.
Ifthevehicleslipsoffthejack,youorsomeoneelsecouldbe
seriouslyinjured.
OnvehiclesequippedwithAirSuspension,turnOFFtheAir
Suspensionswitchpriortojacking,hoistingortowingyour
vehicle.
