Automatic operation
PressAUTOMATICandselectthedesiredtemperature.Theselected
temperatureandthewordAUTOwillappearinthedisplaywindow.The
EATCsystemwilleitherheatorcooltoachievetheselected
temperature.Thesystemwillautomaticallydeterminefanspeed,airflow
locationandiffreshoutsideairorrecirculatedairisrequired.Fanspeed
remainsautomaticunlessthefanspeedthumbwheelisturnedorthe
steeringwheelfanspeedcontrolispressed.
WheninAUTOMATICandweatherconditionsrequireheat,airwillbe
senttothefloor.However,iftheengineisnotwarmenoughtoprovide
heat,thefanwillbeatalowspeedandtheairwillbedirectedtothe

windshield.In3 ⁄ minutesorless,thefanspeedwillstarttoincrease

andtheairflowlocationwillchangetothefloorarea.
Ifunusualconditionsexist(i.e.-windowfogging,etc.),themanual
overridecontrolsallowyoutoselectairflowlocationsandthefancontrol
allowsyoutoadjustfanspeedasnecessary.
