Seating and safety restraints
Thisseatbeltsystemhasaretractorassemblythatisdesignedtopay
outwebbinginacontrolledmanner.Thisfeatureisdesignedtohelp
reducethebeltforceactingontheoccupant’schest.
Afteranyvehiclecollision,theseatbeltsystematalloutboard
seatingpositions(exceptdriver,whichhasno“automaticlocking
retractor”feature)mustbecheckedbyaqualifiedtechniciantoverify
thatthe“automaticlockingretractor”featureforchildseatsisstill
functioningproperly,inadditiontootherchecksforproperseatbelt
systemfunction.
BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUSTBEREPLACEDif
theseatbeltassembly“automaticlockingretractor”featureor
anyotherseatbeltfunctionisnotoperatingproperlywhenchecked
accordingtotheproceduresinWorkshopManual.
FailuretoreplacetheBeltandRetractorassemblycould
increasetheriskofinjuryincollisions.
Front safety belt height adjustment
Yourvehiclehassafetybeltheight
adjustmentsforthedriverandfront
passenger.Adjusttheheightofthe
shoulderbeltsothebeltrests
acrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.
Tolowertheshoulderbeltheight,
pushthebuttonandslidetheheight
controldown.Toraisetheheightof
theshoulderbelt,slidetheheight
adjusterup.Pulldownontheheight
adjustmentassemblytomakesureit
islockedinplace.
Positiontheshoulderbeltheightadjustersothatthebeltrests
acrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.Failuretoadjustthesafety
beltproperlycouldreducetheeffectivenessofthesafetybeltand
increasetheriskofinjuryinacollision.
