FordMotorCompanyrecommendsloadingtheroofrackonlywhen
equippedwith(optional)crossbars,toavoidunintendeddamagetothe
roofpanel.
WARNING:Loadedvehicles,withahighercenterofgravity,
mayhandledifferentlythanunloadedvehicles.Extra
precautions,suchasslowerspeedsandincreasedstoppingdistance,
shouldbetakenwhendrivingaheavilyloadedvehicle.
WARNING:Vehicleswithahighercenterofgravitysuchas
utilityandfour-wheeldrivevehicleshandledifferentlythan
vehicleswithalowercenterofgravity.Utilityandfour-wheeldrive
vehiclesarenotdesignedforcorneringatspeedsashighaspassenger
carsanymorethanlow-slungsportcarsaredesignedtoperform
satisfactorilyunderoff-roadconditions.Avoidsharpturns,excessive
speedandabruptmaneuversinthesevehicles.Failuretodrive
cautiouslycouldresultinanincreaseriskoflossofvehiclecontrol,
vehiclerollover,personalinjuryanddeath.
