Driving with a 5–speed  automatic transmission (if equipped)
ThisvehicleisequippedwithanAdaptiveTransmissionControlStrategy.
ThisAdaptiveTransmissionControlStrategyofferstheoptimal
transmissionoperationandshiftquality.Whenthevehicle’sbatteryhas
beendisconnectedforanytypeofserviceorrepair,thetransmissionwill
needtorelearnthenormalshiftstrategyparameters,muchlikehavingto
resetyourradiostationswhenyourvehiclebatteryhasbeen
disconnected.TheAdaptiveTransmissionControlStrategyallowsthe
transmissiontorelearntheseoperatingparameters.Thislearningprocess
couldtakeseveraltransmissionupshiftsanddownshifts;duringthis
learningprocess,slightlyfirmershiftsmayoccur.Afterthislearning
process,normalshiftfeelandshiftschedulingwillresume.

Thispositionlocksthetransmission
andpreventstherearwheelsfrom
turning.

Starttheengine
Pressthebrakepedal
Pressthegearshiftreleasebutton
onthefrontoftheleverand
movethegearshiftleverintothe
desiredgear
ToputyourvehicleinP(Park):
Cometoacompletestop
Movethegearshiftleverand
securelylatchitinP(Park)
WARNING:Alwayssettheparkingbrakefullyandmakesure
thegearshiftislatchedinP(Park).Turntheignitiontothe
LOCKpositionandremovethekeywheneveryouleaveyourvehicle.
R(Reverse)
WiththegearshiftleverinR(Reverse),thevehiclewillmovebackward.
AlwayscometoacompletestopbeforeshiftingintoandoutofR
(Reverse).
