Seating and Safety Restraints
WARNING:Alloccupantsofthevehicle,includingthedriver,
shouldalwaysproperlyweartheirsafetybelts,evenwhenanair
bagsupplementalrestraintsystem(SRS)isprovided.
WARNING:Whenpossible,allchildren12yearsoldandunder
shouldbeproperlyrestrainedinarearseatingposition.
WARNING:TheNationalHighwayTrafficSafetyAdministration
(NHTSA)recommendsaminimumdistanceofatleast10inches
cm)betweenanoccupant’schestandthedriverairbagmodule.

WARNING:Neverplaceyourarmovertheairbagmoduleasa
deployingairbagcanresultinseriousarmfracturesorother
injuries.
Toproperlypositionyourselfawayfromtheairbag:

Moveyourseattotherearasfarasyoucanwhilestillreachingthe
pedalscomfortably.
•
Reclinetheseatslightlyoneortwodegreesfromtheuprightposition.
WARNING:Donotputanythingonorovertheairbagmodule.
Placingobjectsonorovertheairbaginflationareamaycause
thoseobjectstobepropelledbytheairbagintoyourfaceandtorso
causingseriousinjury.
WARNING:Donotattempttoservice,repair,ormodifythe
airbagsupplementalrestraintsystemsoritsfuses.Contactyour
authorizeddealerassoonaspossible.
WARNING:Modificationstothefrontendofthevehicle,
includingframe,bumper,frontendbodystructureandnon-Ford
towhooksmayeffecttheperformanceoftheairbagsensorsincreasing
theriskofinjury.Donotmodifythefrontendofthevehiclewith
anythingotherthanauthorizedFordaccessoriesforyourvehicle.
