clusterwillflashmomentarily.Themessagecenterwillalsodisplay:
TRAILERSWAYREDUCESPEED.Insomecaseswhentrailerswayis
detected,thevehiclespeedistoohighandmaybeatoraboveaspeed
atwhichtrailerswaywillgrowcontinuously.Thismaycausethesystem
toactivatemultipletimes,andyoumayexperienceaslightdeceleration
ofthevehicle
DisablingTrailerSwayControl
Trailerswaycontrolcanbedisabledduringanykeycycle.SeeTrailer
SwayControlunderRefertoMessagecenterintheDriverControls
chapterformoreinformation.Notethatevenifitwasdisabledbefore
turningoffthevehicle,TrailerSwayControlwillbere-enabledateach
newkeycycle.
WARNING:TurningoffTrailerSwayControlincreasestherisk
oflossofvehiclecontrol,seriousinjury,ordeath.Forddoesnot
recommenddisablingthisfeatureexceptinsituationswherespeed
reductionmaybedetrimental(e.g.,hillclimbing),thedriverhas
significanttrailertowingexperience,andcancontroltrailerswayand
maintainsafeoperation.

Neverholdthesteeringwheelatitsfurthestturningpoints(untilit
stops)formorethanafewsecondswhentheengineisrunning
Donotoperatethevehiclewithalowpowersteeringpumpfluidlevel

Somenoiseisnormalduringoperation.Ifthenoiseisexcessive,check
forlowpowersteeringpumpfluidlevelbeforeseekingservicebyyour
authorizeddealer.
