SNOW TIRES AND CHAINS
Snowtiresmustbethesamesizeandgradeasthetiresyou
currentlyhaveonyourvehicle.
Thetiresonyourvehiclehaveallweathertreadstoprovidetractionin
rainandsnow.However,insomeclimates,youmayneedtousesnow
tiresandchains.Ifyouneedtousechains,itisrecommendedthatsteel
wheels(ofthesamesizeandspecifications)beused,aschainsmaychip
aluminumwheels.
VehicleswithTractionControlorAdvanceTrac௢(ifequipped)may
exhibitsomeunusualdrivingcharacteristics,whenusingsnowchains,
whichcanbeavoidedbyswitchingAdvanceTrac௢off.
Followtheseguidelineswhenusingsnowtiresandchains:
SnowchainsshouldonlybefittedtosizeP185/65R14tires.
Snowchainsshouldneverbeusedonthesparetire.

UseonlySAEClassSchains.
Installchainssecurely,verifyingthatthechainsdonottouchany
wiring,brakelinesorfuellines.

Drivecautiously.Ifyouhearthechainsruborbangagainstyour
vehicle,stopandre-tightenthechains.Ifthisdoesnotwork,remove
thechainstopreventdamagetoyourvehicle.

Removethetirechainswhentheyarenolongerneeded.Donotuse
tirechainsondryroads.
