BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUSTBEREPLACEDif
theseatbeltassemblyautomaticlockingretractorfeatureor
anyotherseatbeltfunctionisnotoperatingproperlywhenchecked
accordingtotheproceduresinWorkshopManual.
Failuretoreplacethebeltandretractorassemblycouldincrease
theriskofinjuryincollisions.
Thefrontoutboardandrearsafetyrestraintsinthevehicleare
combinationlapandshoulderbelts.Thefrontpassengerandrearseat
safetybeltshavetwotypesoflockingmodes.
Vehicle sensitive mode
Thevehiclesensitivemodeisthenormalretractormode,allowingfree
shoulderbeltlengthadjustmenttoyourmovementsandlockingin
responsetovehiclemovement.Forexample,ifthedriverbrakes
suddenlyorturnsacornersharply,orthevehiclereceivesanimpactof
approximately8km/h(5mph)ormore,thecombinationsafetybeltswill
locktohelpreduceforwardmovementofthedriverandpassengers.
Automatic locking mode
Theautomaticlockingmodeisnotavailableonthedriversafetybelt.
Whentousetheautomaticlockingmode
Inthismode,theshoulderbeltisautomaticallypre-locked.Thebeltwill
stillretracttoremoveanyslackintheshoulderbelt.Theautomatic
lockingmodeisnotavailableonthedriversafetybelt.
Thismodeshouldbeusedanytimeachildsafetyseatisinstalledina
passengerfrontoroutboardrearseatingposition(ifequipped).Children
