WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES
TOWING THIS VEHICLE BEHIND ANOTHER
VEHICLE (Flat towing with all  four wheels on the
ground)
All Transaxles
CAUTIO N!
Automatic Transaxle
Your  vehicle  may  be  tow ed und er  the  follow ing cond i-
tions:   The  gear   selector   must    be  in   NEUTRAL,   the
distance  to  be tow ed  must  not  exceed  15 miles  (25 km),
and   the  tow ing   speed   must   not  exceed   25  mph   (40
km/  h). If the  transaxle  is  not operative,   or if  the vehicle
is to  be  tow ed more  than   15 miles  (25 km),  the  vehicle
must  be tow ed  with  the front  wheels  off  the grou nd .
If  the   veh icle  bein g  tow ed  req uires   steerin  g,  the
ign ition  switch  must   be  in the  OFF  position  , not  in
the  LOCK  or ACCESSO RY position  s.
If it is necessary  to use  the accessories  while  being  tow ed
(wipers,   defrosters,   etc.),  the   key  must   be  in  the  ON
position,  not  the ACCESSORY position.  Make  certain  the
transaxle  rem ains  in NEUTRAL.
Manual Transaxle
If you r  vehicle  is equ ipped   with  a manu  al transaxle,   it
may   be  tow ed  at  any   legal   highw ay  speed ,  for   any
distance,  if the  transaxle   is in neu tral.
