UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR VEHICLE
To use the washer, pull the lever tow ard you and hold
while spray is desired . If the lever is pulled while in the
delay range, the wiper will operate for several cycles
after the lever is released , and then resu me the interm it-
tent interval previou sly selected .
Speed Sensitive Intermittent Wiper System
Use the interm ittent wiper when weather cond itions
make a single wiping cycle, with a variable pause be-
tween cycles, desirable. Turn the lever to the delay
position, then select the delay interval. The delay can be
regu lated from a maxim um of approxim ately 18 second s
betw een cycles, to a cycle every 1/ 2 second .
If the lever is pulled while in the OFF position, the wipers
will operate for several cycles, then turn OFF.
NOTE: The wiper delay times depend on vehicle speed .
If the vehicle is moving less than 16 km/ h (10 mph),
delay times will be doubled .
WARN ING!
Sudden loss of visib ility throu gh the windshield
could lead to an accid ent. You migh t not see oth er
veh icles or oth er obstacles. To avoid sudden icin g of
the windshield durin g freezin g weath er, warm the
windshield with defroster before and durin g wind-
shield wash er use.
TILT STEERING COLUMN
To tilt the column, push down on the lever below the turn
signal control and move the wheel up or down, as
desired . Push the lever back up to lock the column firm ly
in place.
Mist
Use this featu re when weather cond itions make occa-
sional usage of the wipers necessary. Pull down and
release the control lever for a single wiping cycle.
