EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
The “Sched uled” maintenance services, listed in bold
typ e must be done at the times or mileages specified to
assu re the continu ed prop er functioning of the emission
control system . These, and all other maintenance services
inclu ded in this manu al, shou ld be done to provid e best
vehicle perform ance and reliability. More frequ ent main-
tenance may be need ed for vehicles in severe operating
cond itions such as dusty areas and very short trip
driving.

NOTE: If the 8th digit of the vehicle identification
nu mber (VIN) contains a ЉJЉ then you r vehicle is
equ ipped with the Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV)
package in ord er to meet the state of California’s PZEV
emissions stand ard .
