ThevehiclealsohasanElectric   Vehicle(EV)mode
whichusesonlytheelectric   motortomovethevehicle.
Withlightacceleration,  thevehiclewilldrivein
EVmode.EVmodeisunavailable   whenthevehicleis
outoffuel.
Thevehiclehasanelectronic   shiftposition indicator
withintheinstrument  panelcluster.
Thereareseveraldifferent  positions fortheshiftlever.
Ifincreased acceleration isrequired, orthevehicle
reachesapproximately 40km/h(30mph),theenginewill
startautomatically.Theengineshutsoffatspeeds
below40km/h(25mph)unlessthetransmission    isin
M(ManualMode)orAutoStopisdisabled.
Duringheavyacceleration,  boththeengineand
hybridelectricmotorssupplypower.Asensation    similar
toatransmission  gearchangecanbefeltasthe
transmission changesmodes.EngineRPMmayremain
above4,000RPMforalongerperiodduringhard
acceleration.

P(Park): Thisposition lockstherearwheels.Itisthe
bestposition tousewhenyoustarttheenginebecause
thevehiclecannotmoveeasily.
