weatherconditions atorbelow18°C(0°F).Vehicles
withanengineheatershouldbepluggedinatleast
fourhoursbeforestarting.  Aninternal thermostat in
theplug-endofthecordmayexistwhichwillprevent
enginecoolantheateroperation  attemperatures
above18°C(0°F).
Plugging thecordintoanungrounded  outletcould
causeanelectrical  shock.Also,thewrongkindof
extension cordcouldoverheatandcauseafire.
Youcouldbeseriously  injured. Plugthecordinto
aproperly groundedthree-prong 110-voltAC
outlet.Ifthecordwillnotreach,useaheavy-duty
three-prong extension cordratedforatleast
ToUsetheEngineCoolantHeater

amps.

Turnofftheengine.
Openthehoodandunwraptheelectrical    cord.The
cordissecuredtoawiringharnessbetweenthe
engineandtheHybridAuxiliary   Underhood Fuse
Blockwithaclip.Carefully   removethewiretie
whichsecurestheelectrical  cord.Donotcutthe
electrical cord.

Beforestarting theengine,besuretounplugand
storethecordasitwasbeforetokeepitawayfrom
movingengineparts.Ifyoudonot,itcouldbe
damaged.
Thelengthoftimetheheatershouldremainpluggedin
dependsonseveralfactors.  Askadealer/retailer  inthe
areawhereyouwillbeparkingthevehicleforthebest
adviceonthis.
