Disconnect theblacknegative(−)cablefromthe
vehiclethathadthebadbattery.
Disconnect theblacknegative(−)cablefromthe
vehiclewiththegoodbattery.
Disconnect theredpositive(+)cablefromthe
vehiclewiththegoodbattery.
Disconnect theredpositive(+)cablefromtheother
vehicle.
Returntheremotepositive(+)terminal   covertoits
original position.
Four-WheelDrive
Lubricant checksinthissectionalsoapplytothese
vehicles. Therearetwoadditional  systemsthatneed
lubrication.
ActiveTransferCase
A. FillPlug
TransferCase
B. DrainPlug
WhentoCheckLubricant
Togetanaccurate  reading, thevehicleshouldbeona
levelsurface.
Itisnotnecessary  toregularly checktransfer casefluid
unlessyoususpectthereisaleak,oryouhearan
unusualnoise.Afluidlosscouldindicate    aproblem.
Haveitinspected  andrepaired.
Ifthelevelisbelowthebottomofthefillplughole,you
willneedtoaddsomelubricant.   Addenoughlubricant
toraisetheleveltothebottomofthefillplughole.Use
carenottoovertighten  theplug.
