lightwillflashfor30secondsbutwillnotcomplete     the
shiftunlessthevehicleismovinglessthan3mph
ToshiftfromFour-Wheel  DriveLowtoFour-Wheel  Drive
High,AUTO,orTwo-WheelDriveHigh,thevehiclemust
bestoppedormovinglessthan3mph(5km/h)withthe
transmission inN(Neutral) andtheignitioninON/RUN.
Thepreferred methodforshifting  outofFour-Wheel
DriveLowistohaveyourvehiclemoving1to2mph
(5
km/h)andthetransmission  isinN(Neutral).
(1.6
to3.2km/h).TurntheknobtotheFour-Wheel    Drive
ShiftingintoNeutral
High,AUTO,orTwo-WheelDriveHighposition.    You
mustwaitfortheFour-Wheel   DriveHigh,AUTO,
orTwo-WheelDriveHighindicator   lighttostopflashing
andremainonbeforeshifting   thetransmission
intogear.
ToshiftthetransfercaseintoN(Neutral):
1. Makesurethevehicleisparkedsothatitwill
notroll.
2.
Settheparkingbrakeandapplytheregularbrake
pedal.SeeParkingBrakeintheindexofthe
OwnerManualformoreinformation.
Notice: Shifting thetransmission intogearbefore
theFour-Wheel DriveLowindicator  lighthas
stoppedflashing coulddamagethetransfer  case.
Tohelpavoiddamaging  thevehicle, alwayswaitfor
theFour-Wheel DriveLowindicator  lighttostop
flashing beforeshiftingthetransmission  intogear.

Startthevehicleorturntheignition    toON/RUN.
Putthetransmission  inN(Neutral).
5. Shiftthetransfer  casetoTwo-WheelDriveHigh.
Thevehiclemayhavesignificant   engagement noise
andbumpwhenshifting  betweenFour-Wheel DriveLow
andFour-Wheel DriveHighrangesorfromN(Neutral)
whiletheengineisrunning.
6. Turnthetransfercasedialclockwise   toN(Neutral)
untilitstopsandholditthereuntiltheN(Neutral)
lightstartsblinking.  Thiswilltakeatleast
10seconds.Thenslowlyreleasethedialtothe
Four‐WheelDriveLowposition.  TheN(Neutral)
lightwillcomeonwhenthetransfer    caseshiftto
N(Neutral) iscomplete.
