sensoralsoturnsoffthepassengerfrontairbagandpassenger
seat-mountedsideairbagwhenthepassengerseatisemptyandthe
safetybeltisunbuckled,orwhenachildorasmallpersonoccupiesthe
frontpassengerseatandthesafetybeltisunbuckled.

frontoutboardpassengersafetybeltsarefastened.Thisinformation
allowsyourPersonalSafetySystemtotailortheairbagdeploymentand
safetybeltpretensioneractivationdependinguponsafetybeltusage.

Thesafetybeltpretensionersatthefrontoutboardseatingpositionsare
designedtotightenthesafetybeltsfirmlyagainsttheoccupant’sbody
duringfrontalcollisionsandinsidecollisionswhenthesidecurtainsand
sideairbagsareactivated.Thishelpsincreasetheeffectivenessofthe
safetybelts.Infrontalcollisions,thesafetybeltpretensionerscanbe
activatedaloneor,ifthecollisionisofsufficientseverity,togetherwith
thefrontairbags.
