WARNING:Tohelppreventthevehiclefrommovingwhenyou
changeatire,besuretheparkingbrakeisset,thenblock(in
bothdirections)thewheelthatisdiagonallyopposite(othersideand
endofthevehicle)tothetirebeingchanged.
WARNING:Ifthevehicleslipsoffthejack,youorsomeoneelse
couldbeseriouslyinjured.
WARNING:Donotattempttochangeatireonthesideofthe
vehicleclosetomovingtraffic.Pullfarenoughofftheroadto
avoidthedangerofbeinghitwhenoperatingthejackorchangingthe
wheel.
Note:Passengersshouldnotremaininthevehiclewhenthevehicleis
beingjacked.
1.
Blockboththefrontandrearof
thewheeldiagonallyoppositethe
flattire.Forexample,iftheleft
fronttireisflat,blocktherightrear
wheel.
2.
Removethecenterornament(if
equipped)fromthewheel.Loosen
eachwheellugnutone-halfturn
counterclockwisebutdonotremove
themuntilthewheelisraisedoff
theground.
