ADVANCETRACா STABILITY ENHANCEMENT SYSTEM
YourvehicleisequippedwiththeAdvanceTrac௡system.The
AdvanceTrac௡systemprovidesthefollowingstabilityenhancement
featuresforcertaindrivingsituations:
•
Tractioncontrolsystem(TCS),whichfunctionstohelpavoid
drive-wheelspinandlossoftraction.
•
Electronicstabilitycontrol(ESC),whichfunctionstohelpavoidskids
orlateralslides
WARNING:Vehiclemodificationsinvolvingbrakingsystem,
aftermarketroofracks,suspension,steeringsystem,tire
constructionand/orwheel/tiresizemaychangethehandling
characteristicsofthevehicleandmayadverselyaffecttheperformance
oftheAdvanceTrac௡system.Inaddition,installinganystereo
loudspeakersmayinterferewithandadverselyaffecttheAdvanceTrac௡
system.Installanyaftermarketstereoloudspeakerasfaraspossible
fromthefrontcenterconsole,thetunnel,andthefrontseatsinorder
tominimizetheriskofinterferingwiththeAdvanceTrac௡sensors.
ReducingtheeffectivenessoftheAdvanceTrac௡systemcouldleadto
anincreasedriskoflossofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personal
injuryanddeath.
WARNING:Rememberthatevenadvancedtechnologycannot
defythelawsofphysics.It’salwayspossibletolosecontrolofa
vehicleduetoinappropriatedriverinputfortheconditions.Aggressive
drivingonanyroadconditioncancauseyoutolosecontrolofyour
vehicleincreasingtheriskofpersonalinjuryorpropertydamage.
ActivationoftheAdvanceTrac௡systemisanindicationthatatleast
someofthetireshaveexceededtheirabilitytogriptheroad;this
couldreducetheoperator’sabilitytocontrolthevehiclepotentially
resultinginalossofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personalinjury
anddeath.IfyourAdvanceTrac௡systemactivates,SLOWDOWN.
