patchedorspliced).Storeyourextensioncordindoorsat
temperaturesabove32°F(0°C).Outdoorconditionscandeteriorate
extensioncordsoveraperiodoftime.
Toreducetheriskofelectricalshock,donotuseyourheaterwith
ungroundedelectricalsystemsortwopronged(cheater)adapters.
Alsoensurethattheblockheater,especiallythecord,isingood
conditionbeforeuse.

Makesurethatwheninoperation,theextensioncordplug/engine
blockheatercordplugconnectionisfreeandclearofwaterinorder
topreventpossibleshockorfire.
Besurethatareaswherethevehicleisparkedarecleanandclearof
allcombustiblessuchaspetroleumproducts,dust,rags,paperand
similaritems.
Besurethattheengineblockheater,heatercordandextensioncord
aresolidlyconnected.Apoorconnectioncancausethecordto
becomeveryhotandmayresultinanelectricalshockorfire.Besure
tocheckforheatanywhereintheelectricalhookuponcethesystem
hasbeenoperatingforapproximatelyahalfhour.
