engineprotectionandlonglife.Ifareplacementoilfilterisusedthat
doesnotmeetMazdamaterialanddesignspecifications,start-upengine
noisesorknockmaybeexperienced.
ItisrecommendedyouusetheappropriateMazdaoilfilteroranother
withequivalentperformanceforyourengineapplication.
BATTERY
Yourvehicleisequippedwitha
Mazdamaintenance-freebattery
whichnormallydoesnotrequire
additionalwaterduringitslifeof
service.
Ifyourbatteryhasacover/shield,makesureitisreinstalled
afterthebatteryhasbeencleanedorreplaced.
Forlonger,trouble-freeoperation,keepthetopofthebatterycleanand
dry.Also,makecertainthebatterycablesarealwaystightlyfastenedto
thebatteryterminals.
Ifyouseeanycorrosiononthebatteryorterminals,removethecables
fromtheterminalsandcleanwithawirebrush.Youcanneutralizethe
acidwithasolutionofbakingsodaandwater.
Note:Electricalorelectronicaccessoriesorcomponentsaddedto
thevehiclebythedealerortheownermayadverselyaffect
batteryperformanceanddurability.
Itisrecommendedthatthenegativebatterycableterminalbe
disconnectedfromthebatteryifyouplantostoreyourvehicleforan
extendedperiodoftime.Thiswillminimizethedischargeofyourbattery
duringstorage.
